My-Asia

I had never met My-Asia before our first session, but I heard she loved reading and writing poetry and prayers. She was very quiet the whole time, which I think was a combination of not knowing me and thinking about the new job she would start the next day.

She grabbed a pen and paper and started writing. When she showed me what she had done, it was a cross between a letter and a journal entry. She had written to herself, giving advice and encouragement for the job she was about to start. With that out of the way, she told me she liked writing scary stories. She took another piece of paper and began writing. This piece was also set up like a letter, this time telling a story about Candyman.

The next time I saw My-Asia, she had been at her new job about a week. She looked like a new woman! She was smiling, talkative, and confident. I can't wait to work with her again and see if her writing has also changed.

  2. I am glad she is doing good at her new job! I also love her name! I am a big fan of letter/journal entry type writing, I think that is because I am very curious about how others live their lives in comparison to how I live mine. Not in a "judgey" way, it just amazes me how different people are even when they live right next door to each other! Again, thanks for sharing these!

    1. I couldn't WAIT to read her "journal entry" because she was so quiet, I wanted to know what she was thinking about.
